El Jardín is a photo series from my time spent in the Colombian pueblo where my parents now live. My father, a Colombian native who immigrated to California where I grew up, returned to his home with my mother several years ago. In Jardín, time moves slower. The free roaming animals are interwoven into the tapestry of its brightly painted colonial articheture. The smells of the motocycle exhaust fumes whiff by amongst the vast jungle air. The sound of cumbia music is drowned out by the thousands of birds and bugs singing into the night.
